OK, so by posting it here, that I am going to start the 5DPT tomorrow, I am more likely to wake up and actually do it. angel-smiley-002.gif I am a little nervous about the first two days, but I have been reading jen's posts and I have structured my day like that. (thanks Jen). action-smiley-065.gif

Of course I didnt go food shopping today, sign0040.gif but I have protein shakes so I will have that for breakfast and then go shopping. I have the meals already picked out. I wasn't going to start until monday, but we are going away for the weekend, and I wanted to be finished with this test before we go.

Told my boyfriend about it, and he says he can't do the first two days with me, but he wants to make some extra ham and cheese soup for him. love0052.gif But he will do the last few days with me, the meditterain (SP?) turkey burgers caught his eye. love-smiley-024.gif And he loves fish, so that won't be a problem. I really am very lucky to have such support. love0089.gif (quick side note, once we were in a restaurant and I ordered water with my meal, not even thinking. I took one sip and he took the glass away from me and said, "That's all you get, no drinking with meals remember."

One thing I did want to mention, I have only been on this board for a little while, but just by cutting out the chips and most carbs, switching to egg beaters, and not drinking with my meals (that was a big one for me), I lost seven pounds in 7 days. party0003.gif I could not believe it, I still can't. I only weighed myself because my uniform felt looser. I feel like I am back in control and that I can do this. My weight gain no longer seems like the impossible mountain is was a few weeks ago.

So I will report back tomorrow night and let you know, how I did and what I ate. Wish me luck. party0002.gif

I have no support over here.I told my bf that I need to do the 5dpt again and he said No you dont,it cost too much to make the food you need.Just cut back on eating. wub.gif
I asked him time after time please dont offer me anything to eat.If I want it,Ill ask for it or get it myself.I said we need to get these junk foods out of here.He said NO WE DONT.Just dont eat them.

Debbie, I am sorry that you do not have the support at home for the diet. I don't know how I would do it if it wasn't for Jeremie's support. I did notice a BIG change, when I just cut out the carbs. Once I saw the change in my clothes, it was easier and easier to say no to them. If you need extra support, It's here. Denise

Good luck to you...2.5 days down...2.5 more to go for me...when you get to day 3 OMG the feta chicken salad was awesome and very easy to make. I bought all reduced fat stuff (feta/sour cream and mayonaisse) and it is only like 140 calories and 5 grams of fat...it was unbelievably good.

OK, Day one complete. party0002.gif I did really good, I think. I had a vanilla protein shake for breakfast. Then went food shopping, to get the food for the rest of the day. I started out kinda late and started drinking kinda late, but I think I drank more water today then any day in the last 3 years. It felt good. angel-smiley-002.gif For lunch I had a vanilla chai smoothie - THANK YOU, who ever came up with these. cool0012.gif They are fantastic, sweet and cold and NOT gritty, (i was finding that with a lot of the protein shakes). So then after the shake I started to make the two soups for the next two days, Ham and Cheese and the Spilt Pea and Ham soup. Ham and cheese was really good, wound up having two bowls of that today (at two different times). After dinner, way after, I had a sugar free pudding.

The weird part was, I had no cravings for anything food wise today. I was fine eating what I had, and I know I got more protein in than I normally do. I expect tomorrow to be a little harder. Day one down, four more to go.

OH, and by the way, my boyfriend really liked the split pea soup. tongue0022.gif He had some with his dinner, he says next time he needs a little more pepper !!

Thanks to everyone for the support.

Denise

Day Two Down, Three to go. cool0012.gif

I thought today was going to be harder, but it wasn't. I had a vanilla chai smoothie for breakfast, some ham and cheese soup for lunch, a vanilla chai smoothie for a snack and some ham and cheese soup for dinner. I still have planned to have a pudding before I go to bed. Didn't drink as much water today as I did yesterday, but I had a lot of ice chips at work, so that counts for something.

i also started taking the Biotin vitamins for hair loss that people are talking about, will let you know how that goes. Excited to have "real" food tomorrow, but a little nervous at the same time. Will try harder to get more water in, have a pot luck dinner tomorrow night for a meeting... think they will want a vanilla chai smoothie???? smile.gif .

will let you know how tomorrow goes

Day three almost done,

I had the oven bacon omlette for breakfast. Was doing ok, then my stomach decided it didn't like me too much, so I sipped on water, and later on had a SF pudding for a snack. Went down ok, and during my meeting had a bottle of water. When I got home, i had the parm tuna patties (yummy !!!). and i will have another bottle of water before bed. I may have a smoothie, (I am addicted), or just some pudding later on.

Thanks to everyone for the support

day four done,

I had the rest of the oven omelete for breakfast, a protein shake for lunch and another for a snack, and the mediterrian turkey burger for dinner. Got in about 55oz of water (which is very very good for me). I am amazed at how this plan really does break the carb cravings. Now it's just the psychological part i have to get over. (those chips are calling to me, i swear they are). But when i want something for a snack, i wil have SF pudding or jello or a string cheese. I am making much smarter choices. And I am happy about that. I cant wait to get on the scale tomorrow morning. I am trying to hold off til then.

How is everyone else doing???
